Summer is for Camps and Cars!

Wow, the last few months have been busy! Our summer camps were a huge success and we are so grateful to all the families and students that participated. We had several camps including instrument building, costume making, furniture making, computer building and two intro to trades camps.

Here are some photos of our campers in action. So proud of them!

And a big thank you to those that came out to our first annual car show! It was fantastic to see so many families come out with their children.

We’re gearing up for our for-credit classes and we are excited to have a full roster of students enrolled. Our students will be able to receive course credit in Computer Science, Carpentry and Auto-Mechanics.

This weekend we have our first class with The Denver Museum of Nature and Science and we’re so excited to be fusedesignpartnering and collaborating with them. Our students will be learning to solder artifact stands just like they use in the museum!

Also, our first FUSE camp with STAR Institute is now full but please contact us is you’d like to be on the waiting list.

Springing Forward

Classes have been goinTG-MOTM-poster-B--032317g great over the last few weeks! We are so proud of our students as they continue to grow, learn new skills and make new friends.

We had a wonderful night last Saturday at the Temple Grandin School’s “Meeting of the Minds” in Boulder. We were very proud to sponsor this event and it was fantastic to listen to the brilliance of Dr. Temple Grandin, John Elder Robison and Steve Silberman. A big thank you to our friends at the Temple Grandin School for organizing and hosting such an amazing event!

As we continue to grow we’re looking for more and better ways to support our amazing community. Our May class offerings are now up! Please check out some new classes and the new days/nights they are offered. Also, we’re proud to offer a FREE night for parents and adults in our community to get together, create and relax. This group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at our building. Please visit our facebook page for more details.

A Letter To Our Supporters

Dear TACT Supporters,
We wanted to share some exciting news about the future of TACT.  Since our inception we have been doing our very best to bring what we believe is a strengths-based approach to our amazing community. We believe in your children, their amazing hearts, and minds and want to help provide a future for them.
We’re excited to share that we’re aiming to launch TACT full time in the Fall. Our goal is to not only continue our night and weekend classes but also to set TACT up as a school for your children to have a path towards a bright future.
We’ll also be launching two paths of employment for individuals with autism – one in the automotive field and another in construction. These are two fields in high demand that can be rewarding while also providing joy, happiness and helping your children become financially independent. Do you have a child on the spectrum looking for a job? This may be the path.
In order to do this, we need your help. Please join us at our open house on 4/2 to see the space we’ve built and team we’ve put together. What we’re trying to do has never been done before. The Colorado Department of Education recently called us “pioneers.” We have the people, the students, the intention, but we need your support.
If you haven’t done so yet, please consider donating to us. Please tell your friends, family, neighbors and co-workers.
Thank you for your amazing support! We hope to see you at our open house. If you can’t make it please contact one of our team members to learn more.
